Job description

Our client, operating within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Procurement Practitioner to join their team on a contract basis in Barrow. This role falls under the Business Unit-SUBS and involves hybrid working arrangements, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site. The contract is for a duration of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver and monitor procurement activity for the specific item/scope of work assigned
• Execution of the end-to-end procurement process including the delivery of information, products and services to quality, cost and schedule requirements
• Continually review supplier performance
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Job Requirements:

• Experience in procurement within the Defence & Security sector
• Significant understanding of the procurement lifecycle
• Experience with supplier performance management
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Security Clearance: SC & UKEYO
• Familiarity with hybrid working arrangements
