Our client, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Manager to join their team.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Representing as the lead advisor on public transport matters in meetings with internal and external stakeholders
• Liaising with the West of England Combined Authority to support high-level plans and initiatives to enhance public transport provision in accordance with the Local Transport Plan and Bus Strategy
• Collaborating with bus operators and external partners to ensure effective delivery of transport services to all community sectors to foster increased public transport usage
• Supporting the negotiation of public transport contributions from new developments for bus services and/or infrastructure
• Developing and securing support for proposals to improve public transport offerings and drafting and presenting reports to inform decision-making

Job Requirements:

• Experience in transportation management or a related field
• Strong understanding of public transport dynamics and stakeholder management
• Proficiency in developing and implementing transport strategies
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government bodies, bus operators, and the community
• Strong organisational and project management skills
