Job description

Are you a skilled engineer with expertise in modelling and simulation? Join our client's dynamic R&D team as a Modelling & Simulation Engineer and play a pivotal role in driving innovation and product development in this exciting device environment.

About the Role
You'll be a key player in delivering engineering analysis and simulations that support the design and development of new products from concept to manufacturing. You will work on various multi-disciplinary projects, providing insights that inform design decisions, accelerate product development, and solve complex engineering challenges. You will collaborate closely with both internal and external teams, ensuring smooth project integration and alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct engineering analysis across all stages of product development, from concept evaluation to integration.
  • Utilise advanced simulation techniques (CFD, FEM, etc.) to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Provide high-fidelity simulations to support project teams in making data-driven decisions.
  • Create and optimise CAD models for accurate engineering analysis.

About You
You have several years of experience in using modelling and simulation techniques within a device and/or product development environment. You're proficient in CAD, with a solid understanding of multi-physics problems.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Expertise in CFD, FEM simulation tools and processes
  • Experience in structural, data analysis and visualisation tools
  • CAD (ideally Solidworks or Siemens NX)
  • Experience of ANSYS or COMSOL would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Drop Test Simulation would also be a positive
