Job description

We are looking Java Backend Engineers to join one of the most important companies in the automotive sector in Europe. This role involves working on an interconnected ecosystem to further develop a state-of-the-art platform for managing software exchanged between trucks and buses and backend infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining automotive backend microservices based on Java or Kotlin and AWS
• Engaging in concept development, architectural reviews, development and operations
• Using DevOps principles to create, test, and deploy backend solutions and internal tools with modern cloud infrastructure such as AWS
• Contributing to technical and architectural decisions
• Collaborating with teams on all matters concerning backend and tool development

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience as a backend software engineer
• Strong experience with Java and frameworks like Spring Boot
• Experience working with public cloud environments such as AWS
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, integration, and testing
• Understanding of security concepts and implementation
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken

Nice to Have:

• Experience with services such as Lambdas, CloudFormation/CDK, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Route 53, and API Gateways
