Job description

Our client, a leader in the water sector, is currently seeking a Head of Operations to join their team in Walsall. This is a permanent position with strategic responsibilities, requiring significant experience in operations management and the water industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage operations across mechanical, electrical, and design teams
• Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure operational efficiency
• Oversee and direct the activities of six direct reports
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Manage resources to optimise productivity and achieve company objectives
• Travel to the North West (Altham) as required
• Monitor and report on project progress and performance
• Enhance team collaboration and performance through effective leadership

Job Requirements:

• Extensive experience in operations management within the water industry
• Strong strategic planning and implementation abilities
• Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage projects from inception to completion
• Understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements
• Flexibility to travel as necessary
• Ability to work in an office-based environment, with potential for hybrid working after initial eight weeks
