Job description
Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a Service Manager role within Adult Care and Support. You will lead and manage a team of Team Managers, ensuring consistent service delivery, high performance, and efficient use of resources. You will also be responsible for service development, partnership working, and managing a budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Team Managers, ensuring performance is in line with service objectives.
- Oversee the delivery of services, ensuring statutory requirements such as Care Act and CQC regulations are met.
- Manage budgets, ensuring value for money and meeting savings targets.
- Work with key stakeholders to improve service delivery and implement changes.
- Provide support for complex cases and ensure effective risk management.
People Management
- Supervise, appraise, and support Team Managers.
- Ensure team performance aligns with organisational policies and objectives.
- Lead on HR matters such as performance management, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
Service Delivery
- Support service improvement and manage key service changes.
- Collaborate with citizens, carers, and partners to deliver effective multi-agency services.
- Ensure safe decision-making in relation to staff and citizens.
Financial and Business Planning
- Achieve financial objectives, including savings targets.
- Support budget holders in forecasting and resource allocation.
- Lead the planning and review of service objectives to ensure efficiency and adaptability.
