Role:

Our defence client is looking for an experienced RF Engineer to join their team on a contract basis - the team is responsible for a variety of RF work including RCS prediction and measurement, Antennas, RF Testing, Radar System and Radio altimeters.

Responsibilities:
Our defence client has a fantastic opportunity to join their growing RF Group supporting the Electronic and RF testing of some of the most exciting projects in the defence industry.


They are looking for an RF Engineer to support various tasks including testing, component level assembly and rework. Ideally you'll have exposure / bias towards RF technology across the full product life cycle.

Skillset/experience required:

  • Ideally, degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience in electronic design, development and delivery; preferably in defence or related industry.
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team with the awareness and understanding of the challenges that this may bring.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of electronic technologies and products
  • Familiar with RF circuits and components across a wide range of frequencies
  • Practical skills - soldering, fault finding and RF component level assembly
  • Use of RF Laboratory Test Equipment - Spectrum Analysers, VNA's, Power meters
  • Ability to use CAD software such as KiCAD or ORCAD
  • Good communication skills with the ability to produce high quality written reports and presentations to internal and external customers
  • Most importantly you will be a good team player and willing to play your part in a high performing and welcoming team.
  • You will be able to work autonomously within a multi-skilled team with a good understanding and dedication to achieving project goals. You should also have the skills to perform technical investigations, provide problem assessments, and propose design solutions within a culture of innovative thinking.
