Job description
The Role
The Security Associate works within the Governance and Risk security team, which is responsible for ensuring the company's management arrangements are adhered to and delivering security measures that protect BAE Systems, its people, infrastructure, information and assets, as well as the interests of its shareholders and customers, and to fulfil regulatory and legal obligations.
Role Responsibilities:
Not limited to...
- Supporting a range of Security Risk Management roles such as; identifying risks & critical assets, creating treatment plans for identified risks and engaging with leadership to provide updates to risk owners
- Coordinating and delivering risk forums.
- Working alongside other security disciplines, facility management and outside agencies to plan and deliver the effective provision of business enabling security and create resilient, secure working environments.
- Conducting risk assessments & risk reviews for activities related to security activities.
What BAE Systems are looking for, from you:
- Experience in a security role acquiring the same skills and responsibilities, ideally gained in a Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), Defence, law enforcement or another highly regulated environment.
- A practical understanding of Classified material management principles.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
- Applied experience and understanding of security risk management and the interface between all domains of security.
- Experience working in risk management.
Experience working in the security industry or similar regulated environments
Security Requirements: SC & UK EYES ONLY
This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC and you must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period. The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.
