Job summary

Our client, a leader in the aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sector, is currently seeking an Avionic Maintenance Fitter to join their team.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing of Base allocated aircraft, including daily checks, scheduled maintenance, component changes, rectification and repair, mandatory inspections, cabin reconfiguration, under wing stores, and aircraft refuelling under supervision of the Allocated Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
  • Supporting the rectification of aircraft defects as directed by the Crew Chief, Chief Engineer, or Aircraft Maintenance Manager within the line maintenance or workshop areas.
  • Working in accordance with all company procedures to ensure airworthiness and Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) standards are maintained.
  • Understanding and applying the requirements of a maintenance instruction as detailed within technical documentation provided by the supervisor.
  • Controlling any material or company equipment provided for the task and maintaining the cleanliness of the working area and the aircraft at all times.
  • Ensuring all associated Base Maintenance equipment is replenished and service dates are complied with.

Job Requirements:

  • Good technical English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to apply basic mathematics
  • Customer-focused with exceptional personal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, confident, and assertive
  • Capability to work within, and adhere to, a defined set of organisational values
  • Medically fit to perform daily engineering duties, including detachment working
  • Willingness to work shift patterns to suit business needs
  • Security clearance to meet current UK and ITAR requirements
  • Preferably completed an Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or similar, including modules such as English, Maths, and Physics
  • Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines using basic project management skills
