Job description
NEC Supervisor
- Monitor Works: Ensure all construction activities comply with the Works Information.
- Witness Testing: Oversee and witness any testing required by the contract.
- Defect Management: Identify, manage, and report any defects during the construction process.
- Regular Site Presence: Maintain a regular presence on-site to provide independent scrutiny of the works.
- Issue Communications: Send necessary communications as per the contract requirements.
- Attend Meetings: Participate in progress meetings to discuss the status and any issues.
- Issue Defects Certificate: Responsible for issuing the Defects Certificate at the end of the Defects Correction Period1.
NEC Project Manager
- Contract Management: Oversee the contract administration and ensure compliance with the NEC contract terms.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks, including maintaining the Risk Register.
- Programme Management: Ensure the project is on schedule and manage any changes to the programme.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs to stay within the budget.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of work meets the specified standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including the client and contractor.
