Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricating, assembling, and installing parts of a ship as per trade requirements
• Installing all types of cables (multi-core, single core, co-axial, and fibre optic) and electrical systems (junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, switches, etc.)
• Cable reeving, cable banding, and cable terminations, and aligning and installing all electrical equipment
• Using a range of hand and mechanical tools and equipment to complete fabrication activities
• Complying with SHE regulations at all times
• Maintaining positive working relationships with team members
• Engaging with management to improve work productivity
• Ensuring compliance with all new and current work methods to produce the best quality product while reducing time and waste

Job Requirements:

• Experience in electrical installation within the maritime or defence sector
• Understanding of installing different types of cables and electrical systems
• Proficient in using various hand and mechanical tools for fabrication
• Strong knowledge of SHE regulations and commitment to maintaining safety standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Effective communication skills to maintain productive relationships with team mates and management
