Job description

Job Title: Senior Engineer - Traffic and Parking

About the Client: The Engineering Team is dedicated to using creative and innovative measures to resolve the borough's traffic and parking issues. They are responsible for designing, proposing, consulting on, and implementing projects such as new pedestrian crossings, controlled parking zones, local parking restrictions, traffic signal-controlled junctions, zebra crossings, and other measures to enhance road safety within the borough.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Designing and managing all aspects of traffic and parking schemes.
• Conducting site investigations and responding to queries from councillors, residents, and other major stakeholders.
• Maintaining up-to-date professional knowledge and providing professional engineering advice and comments to the public and other agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and manage traffic and parking schemes.
2. Conduct site investigations and respond to queries from councillors, residents, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• A background in Transportation, Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a similar field.
• Good knowledge of traffic design standards.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written, to interact with the public and elected members.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
