Location: Farnborough, Gatwick, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham or Inverness Airport.

Role:

Our client, NATS (National Air Traffic Control) are looking for Airport Engineers to join their existing teams in the maintenance of existing Air Traffic Control Systems. This permanent position is available at several locations including Farnborough, Gatwick, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, or Inverness, offering flexibility for the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily operational checks of key Air Traffic Control systems
  • Maintaining operational safety and ensuring compliance with strict aviation regulations
  • Managing and executing scheduled servicing, planned and preventative maintenance
  • Fault finding, modification, and unscheduled maintenance and repair of systems
  • Supporting projects throughout their lifecycle
  • Providing on-the-job training for other engineers
  • Liaising with local Air Traffic Controllers and the Airport Operator to resolve issues swiftly

Job Requirements:

  • Engineering qualification to Higher National Certificate (NVQ Level 4) or equivalent within Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Science; or demonstrable engineering experience in a similar role
  • Background in Aviation is advantageous, but experience in Military, Transport & Infrastructure, or other safety-critical industries (e.g., Maritime, Rail) will be considered
  • A full UK Driving Licence for Airside driving when required
  • Flexible approach and ability to work unsupervised
  • Willingness to be a team player and support others when required

It is highly desired if you hold the ATSEP certificate.
