Our Water company client is seeking a Technical Assurance Engineer to be based out of their Durham or Chigwell office in a hybrid OR remote working arrangement.

You will be accountable for the development and assurance of efficient, innovative engineering solutions, driving value in the early life cycle of projects. This will include supporting and challenging the solutions off strategic Technical Partners and wider supply partners, ensuring delivery of safe, reliable assets that provide reliable and affordable water and wastewater services for customers, communities and the environment.

Responsibilities

• You will promote innovation, industry best practice, lessons learned and continuous improvement
• Support the ongoing development of Engineering Standards & specifications.
• You will drive a proactive approach to risk and value deviations to ensure appropriate opportunities are realised.
• Undertake design assurance and chair technical reviews
• Stakeholder engagement with technical design partners

Skills/experience/qualifications

• Working at Principal or Associate Engineer acting as a Lead Design Engineer or discipline lead within a consultancy environment
• Chartered engineering professional
• Experience of designing / delivering complex water and waste-water projects
• Be able to demonstrate effective leadership, communications skills, and commitment to company values.
• You will have experience chairing or presenting designs at client design reviews.
• Technical specialist with technical design experience in one or more of the following: wastewater process design, water process design, civil / structural design, and overall experience in water industry solution design.
