Our client, a renowned entity in the maritime defence sector, is seeking a Project Manager to manage bid work within their submarine solutions team. This is a contract role that requires expertise in the bids process to help shape and drive planning and programme schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the development of forward-looking plans for the programme.
• Creating and refining detailed scopes and plans for the next phase of the programme.
• Developing and managing work breakdown structures to ensure successful delivery of outcomes.
• Compiling detailed and coherent assumptions, exclusions, and dependencies for work packages.
• Identifying and articulating risks and opportunities within the bid process.
• Reporting progress and forecasting to the Strategic Planning Lead and Bid Manager.
• Working collaboratively within a team, with no direct line management responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in project management within a bid structure/process.
• Proficiency in creating, shaping, and driving work packages effectively.
• Strong understanding of developing comprehensive work breakdown structures.
• Ability to clearly articulate assumptions, exclusions, and dependencies in project planning.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to identify and manage risks effectively.
• Demonstrated capability in reporting and forecasting for complex projects.

Prepared to come in and coach a team and support with the BID management

• Experience and understanding of BID cycle and life support
• Knowledge of defence supporting - does not have to be specific to Submarines
• 37 hours over 5 days
• 12 month contract - potential for extension/perm
• Location: Barrow
• Hybrid 3 days in the office - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
• Standard DSE Occupatioianl health
• Full SC/OH clearance
• Interviews w/c mid 7th October - w/c 14th October
