Job description

Our client, a prominent contractor in the construction sector, is currently seeking Ground workers and Machine Operators for the HS2 EKFB project. This role will primarily focus on water works within the context of the HS2 infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and clearance of construction areas.
• Excavation and installation.
• Operating various machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
• Maintaining documentation and reports related to site activities.
• Collaborating with the broader construction team to ensure project targets are met.
• Providing general assistance to skilled trades persons where necessary.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in groundwork and construction settings.
• SEQOHS Medical is essential
• CPCS Blue Card for 360 Operators and Dumper Drivers
• CSCS Green or Blue Skilled Worker Card essential for Ground workers.
• EKFB inductions are advantageous.
• Proficiency in operating construction machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in construction.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications or tickets for construction machinery operation (preferred).
• Ability to start from 21/10/2024 on a 6-month contract basis.
