Job description
Our client, a leading contractor in the infrastructure and utilities sector, is currently seeking Traffic Marshalls for ongoing projects on South West Water in Cornwall. This role will focus on ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and equipment around the project site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely directing and managing vehicle and machinery movement on site
- Ensuring traffic flow is maintained in compliance with site safety protocols
- Assisting in site access control, including the safe passage of workers and materials
- Coordinating with site teams and drivers to prevent congestion and accidents
- Reporting any safety concerns or traffic issues to the site management team
- Supporting general site activities as required
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Traffic Marshall on construction or infrastructure projects
- Valid Traffic Marshall/Banksman ticket (essential)
- CSCS Card (essential)
- Strong knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
