Job summary
Commissioning Manager with an EC&I bias required for a site in Reading. Live security clearance is preferred but as long as candidates are eligible to obtain it that can be accepted.

Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing commissioning for EC&I aspects, including BMS, HVAC, and Process Plant Equipment (Siemens S7 PLC system).
- Managing the production, review, and approval of commissioning documentation.
- Handling issues found during the commissioning process through the commissioning reservation process.
- Ensuring safe procedures are consistently applied for all testing and commissioning work packages.
- Witnessing Factory Acceptance Testing, Setting to Work, and Site Acceptance Testing.
- Managing test failure resolution.
- Leading commissioning work packages within complex infrastructure projects.
- Supporting the management and deployment of the Overall Project Commissioning Strategy.
- Planning and coordinating commissioning tests with suppliers.
- Integrating test requirements and pre-requisites into the project programme.
- Preparing and presenting regular commissioning progress updates.
- Managing changes to commissioning schedules, resources, and forecasts.
- Chairing commissioning reviews with stakeholders including design reviews, change reviews, and procedure reviews.
Job Requirements:
- Substantial EC&I experience in commissioning BMS systems, vent plant, or similar, and managing commissioning teams.
- Proven track record in complex project delivery, preferably in defence or similar technical sectors.
- Strong client and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrable knowledge and application of commissioning methodologies.
- Ability to operate both autonomously and as part of a larger team.
- Excellent oral and written communication and organisational skills.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft applications.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated industries.
- Sound technical knowledge and leadership experience.
- An appreciation of mechanical, civil, and process systems with an aptitude to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
Desirable Experience/Knowledge:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience with Low Voltage Electrical Distribution design.
- Knowledge of Control System design, Building Services & Management system design.
- Experience with Earthing & Lightning design.
- Knowledge of safety standards (IEC 61508, 61511, 61513).
- Understanding of Functional Safety and Reliability.
- Project management skills.
Qualifications:
- HNC in Electrical/Electronic engineering or suitable discipline-specific qualification.
- Degree in controls or electrical experience preferred.
- Training and experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
Security:
- Current holder of Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) Clearance, or willing and able to obtain security clearance required for the role.
