Job Title: Managing Quantity Surveyor
Location: Bishop Sutton, Somerset
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 per annum
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Travel: Ideally within 45 minutes' commute

Join a leading Highways and Civil Engineering firm working on major projects and TMC frameworks in the Bristol and Somerset areas. Our client is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead and support their commercial team on a long-term, high-profile project in Bishop Sutton. Role Overview:
The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of the projects, ensuring the delivery of successful outcomes. The role requires a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in highways and civil engineering sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial management of a range of highways and civil engineering projects.
- Manage cost control, valuations, and change management processes to ensure project profitability.
- Oversee subcontractor procurement and contract administration.
- Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
- Provide accurate project forecasting and reporting to senior management.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience in senior or managing QS roles, ideally within the highways and civil engineering sectors. Previous experience leading or managing Quantity Surveyors.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of TMC and highways civils projects.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills with a positive attitude towards building strong team relationships.
- Location: Must be within a commutable distance to Bishop Sutton (45 minutes).
