Job description

Our client, a prominent leader in the Building Control sector, is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector to join their around the South Coast. This is a permanent role where you will be providing essential support on various projects, primarily focused on residential schemes with opportunities to work on commercial projects as well.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and codes
• Reviewing plans and specifications for building control
• Producing detailed inspection reports, highlighting any issues or areas of non-compliance
• Advising project teams on regulatory requirements and potential risks
• Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
• Ensuring timely inspections and reporting to keep projects on track
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of building control regulations and best practices

Job Requirements:

• Registration as a Building Inspector 2a or above
• Extensive experience in building control within the HTP sector
• Thorough understanding of UK building regulations and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel to various project sites in and around Swindon
