Job description

This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced offshore surveyor to take on additional responsibilities in a managerial capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking a technical lead on vessel mobilisation, data capture, processing, and reporting.
  • Managing hydrographic survey projects, ensuring successful delivery from start to finish.
  • Supporting the operations manager in the general running and delivery of all hydrographic survey services.
  • Contributing to business development activities and financial reporting at the project level.
  • Assisting the managing director with pursuing technical excellence and growth in the hydrography department.
  • Overseeing and mentoring technical staff to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Balancing fieldwork with office-based tasks to support overall project needs.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in the field of hydrography and geophysical surveying.
  • Knowledge of hydrographic sensors used on survey vessels. (MBES, GNSS, USBL, MRU, IMU, INS etc).
  • Proven offshore surveyor skills with a background in technical operations.
  • Competence in project management and excellent communication abilities.
  • Understanding of business development activities and financial project reporting.
  • A relevant degree in surveying or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to relocate within commuting distance to the head office, if necessary.
