Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £14.32 per hour (PAYE) + Holiday Pay (£16.41 incl. holiday pay)

Introduction

Our aerospace client in Bedhampton, near Porstmouth is experiencing a period of exciting growth, and we're looking for skilled individuals to join their team!

We have multiple OEM Mechanical Assembly, Stores and Test roles available, on a PAYE contract basis with some scope for permanent. Plus, Matchtech offers the option to advance holiday pay to help maximise your weekly earnings!

What will I be doing?

In this role, you'll:

• Assemble hydraulic pumps, motors, and generators to precise specifications and engineering drawings.
• Interpret engineering drawings and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality and accuracy.
• Contribute to 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives.

What do I need to succeed?

You don't need aerospace experience to apply - we're looking for:

• An understanding of mechanical and hydraulic components would be preferred
• Ability to use standard measuring equipment
• Good dexterity and hands-on skills

Compensation & Working Hours

Basic: £16.41 including holiday pay

Overtime: £24.61 including holiday pay

Sundays: £32.81 including holiday pay

Shifts: Monday - Thursday: 07:15 - 15:45, Friday: 07:15 - 12:15

OR Monday - Thursday: 06:30 - 15:00, Friday: 06:30 - 11:30
