Job description
Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Lead Project Professional - Delivery (Construction) to join their team in Barrow-in-Furness. The role involves managing major construction projects within a highly regulated environment. This is a contract position with hybrid working arrangements available, requiring 1-2 days a week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing major construction project lifecycles within a highly regulated environment
- Controlling and reporting on all commercial and financial aspects of projects from concept to completion, including internal and external supply chain activities
- Discharging client duties in compliance with CDM regulations 2015
- Maintaining and managing a safety-focused environment and culture aligned to the high-risk aspects of projects undertaken
Job Requirements:
Essential:
- Experience managing major projects of significant complexity and multi-million pound value
- Team leadership experience
- Proficient stakeholder management experience with effective communication at all levels, both internally and externally
Preferred:
- Qualification in Project Management and/or Engineering/Construction, with an established skillset in project management, such as development of plans, business cases, and risk management, or equivalent experience

Project management qualifications along
NEBOSH (general certificate in health & safety) IOSH, SMST would be advantageous
Additional Information:
The role may occasionally require work on construction sites, though it is mainly based in the office. Please note that the position is subject to ITAR and UK eyes-only restrictions.
