Job Summary
We are currently seeking experienced Systems Engineers to join the Decommissioning & Waste Services market within our Nuclear & Power business. While the ideal candidate will be based in the North of England, other locations across the UK will be considered.
Reporting to the Systems Engineering Capability Lead, you will be responsible for applying Systems Engineering processes, methods, and tools across various nuclear decommissioning and waste management projects. This role offers the opportunity to help develop and grow the Systems Engineering capability within our business, which supports high-profile projects across the Nuclear & Power sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply Systems Engineering processes to a variety of decommissioning and waste management projects.
- Manage requirements, verification & validation, and interface management activities.
- Lead the use of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, such as Capella or Sparx EA.
- Support bid teams in winning new work by developing proposals for Systems Engineering contributions.
- Assist in the development of processes and practices for the Systems Engineering capability within the business.
- Contribute to multiple projects across the Nuclear & Power business, working with other engineering disciplines.
Requirements:
- Proven background in Systems Engineering with experience in requirements management, architecture definition, and interface management.
- Proficiency in MBSE tools such as Capella or Sparx EA.
- Familiarity with requirements management tools like IBM DOORS.
- Experience with coding languages (e.g., VS Code) is desirable.
- Ability to work in an evolving environment, proactively defining best practices and procedures.
- Strong collaboration skills, working across multiple teams and disciplines.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience in the Nuclear or Power sectors.
- Understanding of different engineering lifecycles.
- Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
