Business Development Manager
Role Overview:

Our Commercial team plays a crucial role in developing and executing strategies to drive business performance in alignment with our organizational goals. The Business Development Manager will be a key player in this dynamic team, focusing on establishing and maintaining client relationships to drive business growth in a fast-paced and evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- As the Business Development Manager, you will act as the primary commercial representative in Germany, while also supporting broader efforts across Europe.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Implementing the company's commercial strategy to enhance business performance in targeted markets.
- Building strong client relationships as a trusted advisor for data services, utilizing consultative selling skills.
- Developing solutions tailored to complex project needs and driving sales growth through end-to-end sales management, including:
- Identifying new contacts and business opportunities.
- Managing client relationships to ensure early visibility of upcoming contracts and pipeline opportunities.
- Preparing monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.
- Following up with clients throughout project lifecycles to gather feedback and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Projects, Survey, Marine) to align business opportunities with operational capabilities.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree (B.Sc., B.Eng., or equivalent).
- At least 7 years of experience in a business development role within the ocean data or marine survey sectors.
- Fluency in both English and German (written and spoken).
- Proven track record in developing and managing a sales pipeline at both market and regional levels, with a focus on driving revenue growth.
- Strong commercial acumen, consultative selling skills, and the ability to prioritize customer needs.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to foster open exchange of information and viewpoints.
- Results-driven, proactive, and adaptable to changes.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Established network and commercial engagement experience within the Offshore Wind industry in Germany and Europe.
- Hands-on experience in offshore surveys and a clear understanding of client data needs.
- Knowledge of marine survey systems, software, and deliverables in the geophysical survey sector.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot.
