Job description
This role is primarily field-based, supporting customers around the globe on Naval vessels, Commercial vessels, and Shore-Based Systems. You will be part of the Customer Service Department, ensuring the highest standards of service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travelling within the UK and to various overseas destinations, often at short notice.
- Conducting service interventions including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and acceptance tests.
- Completing detailed service reports and expenses in a timely manner post-activity.
- Effectively communicating technical issues from the field to line management.
- Supporting the Customer Services Technical Helpdesk by responding to emails and drafting Technical Advice Sheets.
- Striving for quality, improvement, and customer satisfaction.
- Adhering to all Health and Safety regulations during working hours.
- Attending required training courses.
- Occasionally working beyond the normal 37-hour week or at anti-social hours while adhering to contractual obligations.
- Performing any other tasks associated with this role.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
- Knowledge of computers, including hardware and software applications.
- Understanding of basic networking principles.
- Self-motivated individual with a valid driving licence.
- Possession of a valid passport.
Experience Required:
- Experience in a field servicing environment, preferably in Marine, though not essential.
Qualifications:
- ONC qualification preferred but not essential.
- Willingness to attain a Tower Climbing & Rescue Certificate.
