Our client, a leading company in the marine sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Customer Support professional to join their busy team.

Job description

This permanent role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Account Management team to oversee daily customer needs related to orders and logistics. This position is vital for maintaining the highest standards of customer service and continuously improving the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating weekly customer reports
  • Providing ad-hoc updates and information to customers regarding pricing, order status, tracking details, lead times, and expediting when necessary
  • Fielding a variety of sales calls and resolving or escalating them as appropriate
  • Maintaining a positive mindset in all circumstances despite challenges
  • Overseeing day-to-day logistical and administrative support including quality concerns, delivery, and invoice issues
  • Being the main point of contact for initial aftersales and warranty enquiries for key accounts
  • Ensuring dependability, approachability, and availability for your accounts at all times
  • Working as a team player by demonstrating character, competency, and the ability to connect with team members to drive successful outcomes

Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel skills are essential)
  • Experience working with an ERP system is preferable
  • Excellent communication skills both internally and externally (written and verbal)
  • The ability to speak another language besides English would be beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Good telephone manner
  • Experience working in a Distribution or Manufacturing environment would be desirable, but not essential
