Job description
Our client, a leader in designing, manufacturing, supplying, and installing bespoke pressure moulded cable systems, operates in some of the most challenging and hostile environments on the planet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection stages defined in production procedures and generate Malfunction Documents to capture all non-conformances.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and contribute to continuous sustainable improvement activities and manufacturing excellence.
- Monitor work orders through the manufacturing cycle to ensure that assembly methods, techniques, and testing best practices are followed.
- Create inspection plans for sign off by the Quality Engineer.
- Conduct Goods In visual, dimensional, and gauging inspection checks of received components to determine acceptance.
- Engage with production operatives to perform and sign off inspections stages as indicated in Process Specifications.
- Perform final inspection of products ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Conduct surveys of goods returned for inspection and write up a report for customer review.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in manufacturing processes, products, and quality standards.
- Background in mechanical component and assembly inspection with knowledge of electrical and/or fibre optic testing.
- Experience using manual inspection and calibration tools.
- Knowledge of electrical soldering techniques, including wire to wire connection and PCB manufacture; willingness to undertake IPC training.
- H&S IOSH Certificate.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Effective communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Team player with a responsible, trustworthy, and reliable attitude
