Job description


Our client, a prominent consultancy in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking an HVAC Commissioning Engineer for a contract role. .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and validating Plat-form Test Procedures (PTP) and related study files for I&C functions at the test bay.
  • Creating Sufficiency Analysis Notes (SAN) and related study files to ensure comprehensive test coverage of safety functions.
  • Preparing System Commissioning Programmes (SCP) and accompanying study files.
  • Formulating Commissioning Procedures (CP) and associated study documentation.
  • Assuring adherence to design documentation, engineering standards, and commissioning procedures based on previous projects.
  • Collaborating with discipline leads to confirm project data and internal organisation.
  • Identifying relevant stakeholders and resources, and assessing the maturity of input data.
  • Proposing and implementing risk mitigation plans, coordinating pre-job briefings, and opening study files.
  • Supporting I&C function tests at the test bay in France, including test result assessment.
  • Reporting progress against initial time schedules and budgets, and updating risk registers as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in reading and understanding I&C logic diagrams.
  • First commissioning experience, especially in nuclear sites or drafting commissioning procedures, is advantageous.
  • Ability to propose technical solutions within their expertise.
  • Capability to coordinate technical topics across multiple engineering disciplines and suppliers.
  • Strong writing skills, particularly in drafting test procedures and substantiating test coverage files.
  • Attention to detail and rigour in the production and review of deliverables.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, especially within an international and multicultural environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with customers and partners.
