Job description

Our client, a leading organisation in the renewable sector, is currently seeking a Design Manager - WTG Foundations to join their team. This is a permanent role focusing on the design and management of foundations for wind turbine generators (WTG).

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the design process for WTG foundations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements
• Managing a team of engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and support
• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality foundation designs
• Overseeing the preparation of detailed design drawings, specifications, and calculations
• Reviewing and approving design documents and technical reports
• Conducting technical assessments and feasibility studies for new projects
• Ensuring that all design activities are completed on time and within budget
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of advancements in foundation design and renewable energy technologies

Job Requirements:

• Experience in the design and management of foundations, preferably within the renewable energy sector
• Strong understanding of substructure engineering principles
• Proficiency in relevant design and analysis software
• Ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
