Our client, a prominent figure in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking an Occupational Health Technician to join their team in Rochester on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing health surveillance such as spirometry, skin assessments, and audiometry
- Conducting vision screenings
- Measuring blood pressure, height, weight, and calculating BMI
- Maintaining clear and accurate documentation of assessments
- Supporting Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments and workstation evaluations
- Contributing to health promotion initiatives and updating the OH web page
- Covering the front of house function during holidays
- Supporting Occupational Health Advisers in routine health surveillance under supervision
Job Requirements:
- Understanding of confidentiality in occupational health
- Awareness of Health and Safety law
- Experience in occupational health
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- IT literate with proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets
- Good time management abilities
- Awareness of the limits of own competence and the ability to refer to Occupational Health Advisers when necessary
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with the OPAS G2 database
- Level 3 Certificate for Occupational Health Technicians or an equivalent qualification
- Familiarity with occupational health and wellbeing issues
- Ability to carry out DSE assessments
This role is a full-time contract position, requiring 8 hours of work from Monday to Thursday and 5 hours on Friday, located fully onsite in Rochester. If you have experience in occupational health and meet the job requirements, we encourage you to apply now.
