Job description
Job Title: CMM Inspector / Operator
Location: Titchfield, Hampshire
Contract Type: Long-Term PAYE Contract
Contract Duration: Initial term until 31/12/2025 (very likely to extend further)
Working Hours:
- Core Hours: 37 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:15 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM
- Holiday:
- 33 days paid holiday OR choose an advanced holiday payment option to receive this amount in your weekly pay.
Pay Rates (Increased as of 20/12/24 Further increases due in 2025):
- First 12 Weeks:
- Core Days: £17.39/hour (including holiday pay: £19.92/hour)
- Post 12 Weeks:
- Core Days: £17.92/hour (including holiday pay: £20.53/hour)
Our Aerospace client based in Titchfield, are actively seeking an individual with CMM Operating experience to join them on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe working environment,
- Drive and sustain continuous improvement within the work cell.
- Ensure high housekeeping standards in compliance with requirements.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications, including GD&T references.
- Provide inspection coverage across the site as needed, following defined procedures and work instructions.
- Inspect and measure supplied components to confirm conformance with drawings and purchase order requirements.
- Assist departments with quality-related investigations when required.
- Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and monitor statistical process control (SPC) data production.
- Investigate non-conforming products using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and/or specialist inspection equipment.
- Approve and sign off items using authorised stamps.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and GD&T.
- Experience in performing quality inspections and conducting quality-related investigations.
- Competence in operating CMMs or similar inspection equipment.
- Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) reporting and statistical process control (SPC) methodologies would be preferred.
