Role
As a member of the on-boarding team at BAE Systems you will become part of a professional team supporting the Graduate and Apprentice Recruitment process by completing on boarding activities.
Based in Preston and reporting to the On-Boarding manager, the On-boarding professional is responsible for supporting all candidates throughout the onboarding lifecycle. This would begin after verbal offer and is the administrative tasks required to bring a candidate into the business. Supporting a number of activities from offer management, HR systems on-boarding, security clearance to first day readiness. The key focus of the On-boarding team is to create a positive experience where our candidates feel informed and prepared for their transition into the business.
Role Responsibilities
(not limited to)
- Providing timely/regular communications, ensuring candidates and hiring managers are effectively engaged and supported throughout the on-boarding lifecycle.
- Responsible for providing a quality customer service, including interacting with other teams involved in the on-boarding cycle e.g. Occupational Health/Security, answering enquires and escalating where appropriate
- Providing advice and offering support with minimal supervision, following established processed but on occasion, judgement my need to be exercised
- Collate candidates documents into 'eFolders' that will be used in the candidates file throughout their employment in the business
Skills Requirements
- Customer Service Experience
- Strong Administration background
- Knowledge of HR Administration
- Basic IT skills (MS Packages)
- Interpersonal, team working skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience of working in a fast pasted, strict deadline environment
- Highly organised with the ability to proritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining the highest of standards and accuracy
- Hands-on experience within recruitment/HR systems
- Experience with managing stakeholders across all levels

The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs).
