Job description
Our client, a leading consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their Infrastructure - Water North team. This permanent, full-time position requires BPSS pre-employment security clearance and offers you an opportunity to be an integral part of the Project Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing tender documentation and preparing submission documentation related to commissioning and handover on tenders
- Assisting in comprehensive commissioning reviews at the design stage
- Preparing commissioning procedures, plans, and strategies
- Liaising with Project Teams, Building Services Managers/Engineers, Clients, Consultants, and Services Sub Contractors
- Attending commissioning meetings and reviewing sub-contractor commissioning method statements
- Preparing progress and status reports while highlighting potential issues
- Visiting sites prior to commissioning to ensure readiness
- Organising and facilitating Client/Consultant witnessing of successful commissioning
- Collating all mechanical and electrical commissioning documentation for O&M manuals
- Addressing commissioning/snagging issues post practical completion throughout the defects liability period
Job Requirements:
- Good communication skills and personable nature
- Knowledge of commissioning
- Good computer skills
- Willingness to travel
- Proactive and can-do attitude
- SMSTS safety qualification and CSCS card
- Professional qualification is desirable
