Job description


Our client, a leading consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their Infrastructure - Water North team. This permanent, full-time position requires BPSS pre-employment security clearance and offers you an opportunity to be an integral part of the Project Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing tender documentation and preparing submission documentation related to commissioning and handover on tenders
  • Assisting in comprehensive commissioning reviews at the design stage
  • Preparing commissioning procedures, plans, and strategies
  • Liaising with Project Teams, Building Services Managers/Engineers, Clients, Consultants, and Services Sub Contractors
  • Attending commissioning meetings and reviewing sub-contractor commissioning method statements
  • Preparing progress and status reports while highlighting potential issues
  • Visiting sites prior to commissioning to ensure readiness
  • Organising and facilitating Client/Consultant witnessing of successful commissioning
  • Collating all mechanical and electrical commissioning documentation for O&M manuals
  • Addressing commissioning/snagging issues post practical completion throughout the defects liability period

Job Requirements:

  • Good communication skills and personable nature
  • Knowledge of commissioning
  • Good computer skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proactive and can-do attitude
  • SMSTS safety qualification and CSCS card
  • Professional qualification is desirable
