Job description

Our client is seeking a AWS Cloud and Security Analyst to join their IT Security team in a permanent job role. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is responsible for assessing and managing IT risks in line with IT policies and standards.

You will primarily focus on maintaining the security of AWS cloud environments and traditional on-premise IT systems. The role is integral to supporting the company's digital transformation programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage security controls in the development lifecycle of digital platforms
• Guide and support the teams developing in AWS ensuring best practice is documented
• Guide and support the deployment of Kubernetes / Clusters, ensuring best practice is documented
• Guide and support teams developing (language agnostic) applications / API ensuring appropriate code scanning regimes are in place
• Support the Senior Manager with Threat Modelling
• Investigate suspected attacks and support security incident management

Job Requirements:

• Experience in IT cyber security, including AWS cloud services
• Strong understanding SecDevOps pipeline capabilities
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle best practices and principles
• Proficiency in information security policy and governance frameworks
