We're on the lookout for an experienced leader with a passion for excellence, a customer-focused mindset, and the skills to ensure smooth operations, drive financial success, and motivate a high-performing team.

Suitable candidates will have a proven background in the management of Lifting operations and plant equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your existing experience and develop a career within the marine industry.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing daily operations of the boatyard and dry stack, ensuring top-tier customer service.
  • Driving financial performance and profitability for the boatyard.
  • Overseeing maintenance, insurance inspections, and ensuring compliance with HSE and company policies.
  • Developing and leading a motivated, flexible team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Handling boat lifting operations and supporting the team as needed.
  • Managing budgets, pricing policies, and creating strategies to meet revenue targets.
  • Fostering strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience managing businesses with a turnover exceeding £1M.
  • A skilled operator of plant equipment with a strong focus on health and safety (IOSH qualification preferred).
  • A natural leader who inspires teams, builds relationships, and ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Results-driven with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities.
  • A customer service champion with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.

What's In It For You?

  • Salary: £45,000 per year
  • Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri), however flexibility will be required as weekends and earlier/later start times will be worked in line with the tide times and covering for the team. Weekend work will be taken back as time off in lieu.
