Job description

Our client, a small independent consultancy operating within the town planning sector, is seeking a Chartered Town Planner to join their dynamic team. This multidisciplinary firm works across various sectors, including residential, commercial, retail, and leisure. This is a permanent role offering a balance of flexibility, though regular office presence is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and managing planning applications for diverse projects, including housing developments and leisure studies
• Providing comprehensive town planning advice to clients across residential, commercial, and retail sectors
• Conducting site assessments and feasibility studies to support planning decisions
• Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success
• Preparing and presenting detailed planning reports and documentation
• Engaging with local authorities and attending public consultations as required
• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of planning legislation and policies

Job Requirements:

• Experience in town planning, including post-graduate experience in the field
• Strong understanding of town planning principles and practices
• Ability to prepare and manage planning applications for a variety of sectors
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
• Effective communication and team collaboration abilities
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Professional qualification in town planning
