Job description
Our client, a leading organization in the financial sector, is currently seeking a Data Scientist to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Model Development: Design and implement propensity-to-buy models and advanced analytical methods to optimize product operations. Support the development of new statistical models to recommend the next best actions for clients.
- Data Analysis: Generate insights to identify customer purchase patterns, create quick-win strategies, and drive actionable client-focused campaigns. Analyze customer behavior, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and assess campaign effectiveness.
- Data Visualization: Prepare clear and effective reports and presentations to translate data into actionable business strategies.
- Project Participation: Actively contribute to data-driven projects led by the Group Data team.
Job Requirements
- Education: Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Market Research, or related fields.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in creating advanced analytical models and analyzing large datasets, with a preference for experience in the financial sector (banking or consumer finance).
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of SAS and SQL.
- Proficiency in machine learning languages like Python or R.
- Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization, or similar.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., Teradata, SQL Server).
- Knowledge of DWH tools such as Snowflake and Databricks would be nice to have.
- Advanced user of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Desirable: Experience with ETL tools (Power Center, Stambia).
- Soft Skills: Analytical mindset with a results-driven focus, good communication and collaboration skills, proactive, flexible, with a passion for continuous improvement within the Data world.
