Job description

Our client, a prominent organisation within the highways and streetworks sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Streetworks Coordinator to join their team. This is a contract role based in an office environment, primarily focused on managing streetworks on the highway network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing permitting applications within required timeframes in compliance with the Permitting Scheme Statutory Guidance
• Identifying potential for collaboration and conflicts in streetworks
• Assessing traffic management plans for works and events impacting the highway network
• Considering the impact of streetworks on network users
• Liaising with stakeholders, internal departments, utilities, and other highway authorities
• Ensuring streetworks impacts are understood and effectively managed
• Acting as a point of contact both internally and externally
• Chairing all Co-ordinator meetings

Job Requirements:

• Experience in coordinating streetworks
• Working knowledge of NRSWA regulations and Street Manager
• Proficient use of Symology system
• Understanding of traffic management plans and their impact
• Excellent communication skills for effective liaising with diverse stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Experience working within a similar role in the streetworks sector
