Job description
Business Analyst - ERP
Our client is currently seeking skilled Business Analysts with experience in ERP implementations. This role is geared towards professionals with a background in ERP systems and business analysis, aiming to enhance business processes through efficient ERP implementation with specific knowledge centred around finance systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed requirements analysis by engaging with finance, order management, sales stakeholders, and other relevant departments
- Understand and document current finance processes and workflows; identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Analyse gaps between the organisation's requirements and ERP system capabilities
- Collaborate with ERP vendors/consultants for system configuration and testing
- Coordinate and assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure functionality meets requirements
- Support the development of training material for end-users
- Provide ongoing support during the stabilisation phase post-go-live
Job Requirements:
- Experience in ERP implementations, particularly in finance modules
- Proven experience with finance systems such as Unit4, SAP, Oracle/Oracle Fusion, Microsoft, or similar
- Experience in gathering and documenting requirements, processes, data analysis, and data mapping
- Industry-specific understanding, ideally within the airline sector, but not essential
- Knowledge of financial accounting (Record to report, Source to Pay, Order to Cash), controlling, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI
- Experience using documentation tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Miro, or similar
- Ability to work with IT teams and understand system architecture, integrations, and workflows
Certifications (Preferred):
- Professional BA certification
- ERP-specific certifications (e.g., SAP, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Dynamics)
Other Considerations:
- Willingness to travel if required by the project
- Familiarity with both on-premise and cloud-based ERP solutions
- Understanding of regulatory compliance standards relevant to finance systems, such as IFRS, GAAP, or SOX
