Job description

My client a world leader in the design of state-of-the-art electronics is looking for two Environmental Product Test Engineers to play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of reliability. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about testing products for extreme environments, including thermal, humidity, shock, and vibration conditions.

Your Role

• Oversee daily operations of the Environmental Test Laboratory.
• Ensure equipment is maintained, safe, and ready for use.
• Manage inventory and lab resources efficiently.
• Maintain health and safety standards.
• Train other lab users and promote best practices.
• Develop testing capabilities to ensure products are robust and reliable.
• Create and execute test strategies based on customer requirements.
• Process and document test data and results in line with industry standards.

What You Bring

• Experience in a fast-paced product development environment.
• HND, BSc, or BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Practical experience with environmental testing, such as:
• Vibration, shock, and drop testing.
• Thermal cycling
• Salt mist/corrosion testing
• Water ingress protection
• Humidity testing
• Solid problem-solving skills and understanding of engineering principles.
• Familiarity with mass production processes (e.g., injection moulding, die-casting).
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Willingness to work on-site, 5 days a week.
