Job description

Our client, a prominent organisation within the water sector, is currently in search of a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the northern Thames Water region. This contract position is focused on Thames Water projects, specifically capital works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing all aspects of quantity surveying duties and responsibilities
• Overseeing cost management and budgeting for Thames Water projects
• Ensuring compliance with NEC contracts and project guidelines
• Collaborating with project teams to deliver accurate cost forecasting
• Assessing and managing risk on projects, providing financial and contractual advice
• Conducting valuations and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts
• Supporting procurement processes and contract administration
• Liaising with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

Job Requirements:

• Experience in Quantity Surveying within the water sector
• Extensive knowledge of Thames Water projects and capital works
• Proficiency in the use and management of NEC contracts
• Strong financial and commercial acumen
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
