Job description

My Client is seeking a dedicated Traffic Technician to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves assisting with the provision of an efficient traffic signals service to the five districts of Tyne & Wear, Durham, and Northumberland within the HTP sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commissioning, installing, inspecting, and maintaining traffic signals systems
• Ensuring all traffic signals systems are operating efficiently and effectively
• Collaborating with the team to manage traffic flow and improve road safety
• Diagnosing and repairing faults in traffic signals equipment
• Providing technical support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders
• Keeping accurate records of work carried out and maintaining documentation
• Conducting regular inspections and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations

Job Requirements:

• Experience in working with electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical systems
• Knowledge of traffic signals and control equipment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Understanding of health and safety regulations related to traffic signal systems
