Job description

Our client is currently seeking three Design Managers with specialisations in either Comms, M&E, or Fire to join their team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the design process for rail communication systems including SISS, Telecoms, M&E, and Fire Engineering
• Ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and regulations
• Overseeing project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful on-time completion
• Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to design teams
• Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
• Reviewing and approving all design documentation
• Maintaining clear and effective communication with all project participants

Job Requirements:

• Experience in designing rail communication systems including SISS, Telecoms, M&E, and Fire Engineering
• Strong understanding of rail regulations and industry standards
• Proficiency in project management and the design approval process
• Excellent coordination and leadership skills
• Ability to perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytic abilities
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Must be able to be at office in South London 2 days a week and be on site 1 day a week.
