Job description
Our client is currently seeking a Registered Building Control Surveyor to join their esteemed team in Central London. This is a permanent role requiring a minimum of Class 2D registration, with the vast majority of projects being large-scale commercial undertakings such as retail and office fit-outs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and approving building plans to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Conducting site inspections and assessments during various phases of construction
- Issuing certificates of compliance and non-compliance for building projects
- Collaborating with contractors, architects, and engineers to address any issues with regulations
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all inspections and approvals
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to standards
- Providing expert advice on building control matters to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Enhancing client relationships through effective communication and timely service delivery
Job Requirements:
- Experience in building control or a related field
- Class 2D certification (minimum)
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance within the construction industry
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
