Job description

Our Client - one of the leading Defence companies is looking to hire a Weapons Technician on a contract basis to join their team at RAF Coningsby. This role involves working in the Defence & Security sector and plays a crucial part in supporting military operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and servicing a variety of weapon systems used in military aircraft
• Conducting inspections and troubleshooting to ensure the operational readiness of weapons
• Implementing and adhering to safety protocols and guidelines
• Working collaboratively with other team members to complete maintenance tasks efficiently
• Documenting all maintenance actions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Providing technical support and guidance to less experienced technicians
• Ensuring all tools and equipment are well-maintained and calibrated
• Reporting any issues or potential risks to the appropriate personnel

Job Requirements:

• Experience as a Technician, particularly within the Defence & Security sector
• Strong understanding of weapon systems and their maintenance requirements
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work fully onsite at RAF Coningsby
• Security clearance (SC & ITAR) is mandatory
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent experience
