Product Safety and Environmental Management Specialist Contractor
BAE Systems Glascoed invites experienced professionals to ensure compliance with our Product Safety and Environment Management Framework, along with our business policies, procedures, and associated management plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and Advise the Design Organisation on product safety matters for various projects and bids.
- Tailor Product Safety Management Plans to fit specific project needs.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure products comply with safety, environmental, and security standards.
- Conduct safety evaluations of engineering designs.
- Apply techniques such as FMEAs (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and FTAs (Fault Tree Analysis) for Hazard Identification, Analysis, and Risk Assessment.
- Write comprehensive Safety and Environmental Case Reports (SECRs), including detailed plans and appraisals.
- Compile evaluation and test evidence to support Safety and Environmental Cases (SEC).
- Create and maintain Product Hazard Logs.
- Actively participate in Customer Product Safety and Environmental Panels (PSEPs).
- Contribute to delivering conforming products in line with business requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Lead or support reviews with stakeholders, including:
- External and Internal Customers
- Technical Authorities
- Supply Chain Partners
- Approval Authorities/Regulators
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in Product Safety Management.
- Familiarity with safety evaluation techniques such as FMEAs and FTAs.
- Strong skills in writing and managing SECRs and Hazard Logs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
