Job description

Our client, a leading organisation in the Highways Transport sector, is currently seeking an Experienced Civils Site Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and transferring control using a Total Station
• Conducting quality control processes
• Setting out and issuing permits, including Permits to Dig, HWP, and Permits to Enter
• Applying engineering principles to site activities
• Utilising knowledge of excavation techniques and compaction of stone
• Managing and supervising project activities to ensure successful delivery
• Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders

Job Requirements:

• Experience in site engineering within the highways sector
• Proficiency in setting out and using Total Station equipment
• Understanding of engineering principles and quality control processes
• Ability to issue permits and manage site documentation
• Knowledge of excavation techniques and compaction of stone
• Holding a current Temp Works qualification is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Capacity to work effectively under contract conditions
