Our client, a respected entity in the HTP sector, is seeking a Registered Building Inspector to join their team and manage a workload in and around Southampton. The focus is predominantly on residential projects, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a variety of assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
  • Reviewing and approving building plans and specifications
  • Providing expert advice on building control matters to clients and stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate records of inspections and issued permits
  • Communicating effectively with contractors, builders, and property owners
  • Ensuring all projects meet the required safety and quality standards
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest building regulations and HTP sector developments
  • Advising on remedial actions where necessary and following up on corrective measures

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in building control and inspection, with a focus on residential projects
  • Registered as a Building Inspector (Class 1 or higher)
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Professionally qualified or equivalent within the construction/HTP sector
  • Proficient in maintaining thorough and accurate records
