Job description
Our client, a respected entity in the HTP sector, is seeking a Registered Building Inspector to join their team and manage a workload in and around Southampton. The focus is predominantly on residential projects, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a variety of assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Reviewing and approving building plans and specifications
- Providing expert advice on building control matters to clients and stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections and issued permits
- Communicating effectively with contractors, builders, and property owners
- Ensuring all projects meet the required safety and quality standards
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest building regulations and HTP sector developments
- Advising on remedial actions where necessary and following up on corrective measures
Job Requirements:
- Experience in building control and inspection, with a focus on residential projects
- Registered as a Building Inspector (Class 1 or higher)
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Professionally qualified or equivalent within the construction/HTP sector
- Proficient in maintaining thorough and accurate records
