Job description

Our client, operating within the water sector, is currently seeking a skilled Regional Generator Engineer to join their team in Tilbury. This permanent role involves ensuring the operational functionality of generators, including maintenance and servicing, primarily focusing on mechanical and electrical aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and maintain stage V generators, MDU/AMF panels, and associated cabling
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs both on and off site
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure equipment is tagged
• Undertake major repairs and refurbishments as needed
• Assist in keeping servicing schedules up to date at depots and customer sites
• Ensure adherence to best safe working practices and use of appropriate PPE
• Report all incidents and accidents promptly
• Maintain an organised, clean, and tidy workspace and vehicle

Job Requirements:

• Experience in mechanical and electrical servicing and repair of diesel-driven products
• Knowledge of generators and associated ancillaries
• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant products and accessories
• C & G/CITB/NVQ qualification preferable; 19^th Edition desirable
• Valid driving licence essential
• Flexible attitude to accommodate changing regional needs
• Strong problem-solving skills and fitting abilities
